What Auben keeps about you, why, and how to get it or delete it. Last changed 14 September 2026.
Your account. The email address you sign in with. If you confirm a phone number to put up a track, the number, kept to stop one person running many accounts. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email they pass to us.
Your profile. The name, handle, picture, bio and links you choose to show. These are public.
What you listen to. Every play, skip, like and save in the feed, with the position in the clip it happened at. This is the vote that decides which tracks rise. It is never shown to anyone as yours: artists see counts of strangers, never names.
What you put up. Your audio, artwork, titles and the clip you chose. The original file is kept privately so a wrongful takedown can be undone.
Messages. What you send and receive. Deleted messages are hidden from the conversation but kept for moderators while the conversation is reported.
Reports and moderation. Reports you make, and any action taken on your account, with the reason.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not track you across other sites. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in, plus a bot check on the sign in form.
We do not email you unless you asked: a code to sign in, a message you have not read, a track of yours moving up if that switch is on, the weekly chart if that switch is on, and a confirmation if you close your account.
Auben runs on services that process data on our behalf and under our instructions: Supabase (the database and sign in), Vercel (the site), Cloudflare (audio and image storage), Brevo (email), Twilio (phone confirmation), Trigger.dev (audio processing), and Apple or Google if you sign in with them. Each sees only what its job needs.
For as long as you have an account. Closing it takes your pages offline at once and deletes the account after 14 days, unless you sign in and restore it. Listening events and saves are kept without your name, because they are other people's votes too and scout credit was earned on them.
You can see everything we hold: your account page has a download of your data. You can correct your profile at any time. You can close your account yourself, and it is gone in 14 days. If you are in the UK or the EU you have these rights in law, and also the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California you have similar rights under the CCPA. Wherever you are, email us and we will do the same.
